With a little fine tuning this will be a great resource. It would be nice to be able to pause I agree. The audio quality is not bad, but a slightly better microphone I believe is the solution. I have a small omni directional Sony mic, that uses a battery, and the sound quality is very good. Not expensive to buy either. Excellent first effort. It also won't display pause/stop controls. Peter from Chessvibes obviously solved this problem. Software is Camtasia Studio, but I might try Bulent's Screen Recorder 3 next time (it's free), because sound recording is bad for some reason. I'm still pretty much experimenting with everything.
